Habakkuk 1: 5 – Look at the nations and watch–and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.

Today I can joyfully declare that God is still on the throne! I remember a time I had a very challenging week. It was a bag of mixed fortunes. I received good news and sad news all in one week. That’s life, isn’t it? The highlight of that week came when I had gone to view a home that one of my bothers was building. It was a huge and high-tech home, I was in complete awe! As my brother took me on the tour of his beautiful home (I call it a boutique hotel), we received a call that took our joy away. The call was about a business deal we had been working on for a while, that was about to be taken away from us. Both my brother and I did not know how to react to the news. We were so disillusioned we could not even finish the tour of his home.

We immediately jumped into his car and made our way to an engagement we had, to motivate staff members of a certain national department. We drove for a few minutes in silence as we were both trying to gather strength after the news we had just received.

My mind was in a whirlwind of activity. I was trying to figure out what God was trying to tell us. Here we were, celebrating my brother’s house – a gift God had given him, a blessing that clearly showed just God is ready to do things for you that you would not believe how great He is and how wonderful He had been to us.

Right in the midst of our excitement, just one call wiped all our joy away. How was this possible? How could this be? How were we supposed to go and face people and inspire them to dream big when one of our dream was ending? Why did the call come at that moment and not later? Why us? Was this a sign, and if so, what did it mean? My brother finally broke the silence and said to me, “The devil is a liar.” The call had come to make us weak. It had come to make us lose hope so that we would not give a message of hope to the people we were about to present to. It came to make us feel like the God we trust had failed us. It came so we couldn’t be at our best. It came to create doubt in our hearts about God’s love and care. It was not a genuine call; it was a call from the devil. We both agreed to accept it as that. We agreed that our God was still on the throne. We spoke life into our situation.

We applied our faith and went on to do what was expected of us. And we did well, if I may say so myself. A few days later, as I thought back on what had happened, God sent me this verse: Habakkuk 1: 5 – “Look at the nations and watch—and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told”. As soon as I read it, I knew we still had our business deal. I knew that God had a plan to do things for us that we would not even believe. God had a perfect plan, and what looked like near failure to us, was only His way of putting things in order for us. Today, God has sent me to tell you the same. He is planning to do things for you that you would not believe. You are on the verge of that great breakthrough. You are so close to achieving your dreams.

You are about to experience that miracle you have been praying for. All you need to do right now is BELIEVE!
