1 KINGS 17: 2 – 4 – Then the word of the LORD came to Elijah: “Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan. You will drink from the brook, and I have directed the ravens to supply you with food there.”
We all have moments in our lives when we feel like nothing is happening. We pray to God and it feels like he is not even listening. Friend, today I want to urge you and I to change our language. God is always at work behind the scenes on our behalf. He directs things from the heavens and sometimes these things take time to get to us, but that does not mean he is not at work.
If you read 1 Kings 17 you will get to know that God is always at work and he provides ahead of time. When he instructed Prophet Elijah to leave where he was staying, God was already working behind the scenes on his behalf. If you read verse 4, God tells Elijah that he had already directed ravens to feed him. God had done it behind the scenes. Later on in verse 9, God instructs Elijah to leave and go to another place. He tells him that he had already instructed a widow to look after him.
God was always ahead of Elijah and his provision was always on time. To Elijah it might have looked like nothing was happening, yet God was always at work behind the scenes. Friend, I don’t know as to what is going on in your life right now. I don’t know as to what you have been praying for. But today, I came to tell you that God is working behind the scenes on your behalf. He is preparing something bigger than what you have been praying for. He is going to surprise you with his goodness. He is going to amaze you.
I just want to request you to do a few things though:
- When you don’t see anything happening – change your language and say I know that God is working behind the scenes on my behalf
- Pray Until Something Happens in the natural
- Raise your level of expectation
- Believe that your prayers have already been answered
May God surprise you with his goodness this week. May you experience a miracle. May you be blessed beyond your expectation.
God loves you,
